IMC Global Services has been providing offshore/onsite support in designing, developing
and maintaining the products of leading software companies in the U.S.
Some of the
success stories are as follows:
DocConnect™
DocConnect is a software product designed by IMC, Inc. to implement web based information delivery from multiple document management and imaging repositories. DocConnect
links digital documents with electronic transactions as well as give users a common
interface. DocConnect is architectural ERP and repository independent.
IMC Global Services was involved in the design, development and quality assurance
of DocConnect.
Courtroom Reporting Software- Stenovations, Inc.
IMC Global Services successfully designed and developed seven out of 13 modules
of the digital Computer Aided Transcription (digitalCAT) software for Stenovations,
Inc. Courtroom reporters use digitalCAT to record transcriptions of courtroom proceedings.
Work on the remaining modules is in progress.
The seven modules developed by IMC Global Services will enable courtroom reporters
or other users to access the courtroom transcripts over the intranet and modify
them from a different machine on the local area network. The video synchronization
module allows users to capture video and audio data in realtime. After the video
and audio data have been synchronized with the transcript text data, the transcript
is then made available to the attorneys and judges for viewing the courtroom proceedings.
Other modules have been developed to add more functions and flexibility to the software
application. This includes preparing an audit log of all changes performed on the
transcripts, and to customize various operations such as printing, editing, etc.
Other modules include the capability to import/export existing transcripts from
HTML and ASCII file formats, which adds significant flexibility to the software.
A Corporate Telework Provider Firm
A Telecommuting Provider firm in the U.S. needed specific software to monitor certain
telework programs for employees who work on a part- or full-time basis from remote
locations. An internet-based software program was needed to manage 'trip reduction
programs' such as telework, flextime and ridesharing. The system was to follow the
concept of Web "GREEN" Ring. Because the system was based on the
World Wide Web,
participants and administrators could access the system from remote locations. This
was ideal for the management of teleworkers.
Based on IMC Global Services's initial analysis of the existing system, the site
was redesigned and developed based on specific reusability and performance requirements
gathered in the initial analysis. The existing system was then restructured and
configured for a highly stable and scalable system. IMC Global Services also designed
and implemented an online portal for the firm's additional locations.
Decision Support System - Products and Management Consulting
Company
IMC Global Services developed an application for the Decision Support System of
a software and consulting company in the U.S. The product is an interactive graphical
user interface (GUI) system designed to assist and enhance the decision-making ability
of high-level executives for day-to-day improvement of their enterprise supply chain
management (SCM).
The system was designed to create a demand forecast for stock keeping units (SKU)
by a customer or a channel. The system allocates available supply to the right channel
in the most optimum manner. The system is designed for use by manufacturers, distributors
and retailers in discrete product industries.
